gtx 970 ftw+ vs gtx 980

I trying to build a computer that will play The Division at 1080p 60fps Ultra settings. What card should I go with? If GTX 970, Which version(I was thinking FTW+). And if the GTX 980 which version (Can't be over $510). Thanks for the help!

GPU-???
Asrock motherboard
16 GBS vengeance pro ram
250 Samsung 850 Pro SSD

if you want to just set stuff to ultra then a gtx 980 ti


if you want to be smart about settings then a r9 390 or a gtx 970

i actually bought a gtx 970 FTW+ and a 4690k on ultra settings I found myself at right around 55-65 ffps. using evga experience optimizer i now hover around 80 fps and it looks no different.
