Hi there I am looking to find out what my personal desktop's best settings could be for recording local videos and possibly streaming live video to twitch as well. I have Windows 10 Pro 64-bit for my OS. For hardware I'm running an Intel Core i7 950 @3.07GHz, 12.0 GB Triple-Channel DDR3 @ 534 MHz Ram, ASUSTeK P6X58D PREMIUM (LGA1366) motherboard, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 video card. I'm trying to find out what settings I could use for Open Broadcasting Software (OBS) to get the best possible video quality, specifically when uploading to YouTube, and possibly live streaming to twitch (Speedtest shows that I have 24 MS Ping, 175 Mbps download speed, and 24.30 Mbps upload speed) Thank you in advance to those who are willing to help!

You should not stream above 3500 kbps bitrate, that is for partners only. Even though you have such a high upload speed I would not suggest going over 2500 kbps. Make sure you use x264. And then put the CPU preset to very fast so it puts less strain on it. If you had a worse internet connection I would put your cpu. But in this case you have an amazing upload. That being said, you can stream at 60fps. But, some viewers may have problems loading your stream if they have a bad internet download speed. So I would suggest 2000kbps @60fps and 2500 @30fps. It also depends what kind of games you plan on playing. Call of duty or games that have lots of movement you'll want a higher bitrate. Oh yeah and also make sure you have use custom buffer...

If I did not help you to your needs please comment or pm me and I will get back with you as soon as possible.
Thanks again,
