GA-Z87-D3HP fast boot problems

When I enable the fast boot option from windows 8.1 many times pc makes 5 min to shutdown, remains on blank screen and tower keeps working. Then a slow boot happens. If I disable the fast boot option from windows that never happens. Can you explain me why? I use latest Bios of my mobo. PSU is TX650 (corsair 650W). And HDD is a WD7200 rpm.

To add more info when I was booting again the PC I had a significantly slower boot and in the event viewer I got kernel error 41 : " The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first " . Well Disabling fast startup fixed them completely. Well my motherboard has an option in Bios for " Fast Boot " and you can select Enabled/Ultra Fast/Disabled. By deffault it was disabled. Should disabled caused that problem? Or if it was something else can you tell me? It's like a mystery to me all this awkward stuff.
