I started having issues with my computer this weekend and have had several different issues. Now the vga led is solid red and I can't get any signal. I thought it was the gpu not getting enough power or something but it's still red after I took the gpu out, plus the PSU was changed today to a brand new one. Any ideas what it might be?

Sounds like either the GPU died or the motherbd is having an issue.
You can try testing the gpu in another pc.
as for the mobo light being red with no graphics card installed; you likely disabled the internal gpu when you added in the GPU. Try resetting the cmos (see your users manual for instructions on how to do that) and then see if it will work with the integrated gpu.

Okay I can try resetting it and see what happens. My bet right now is that there's something wrong with the motherboard. Because I tried putting an older gpu in and there was no difference. Also sometimes it doesn't complain about the vga, but then instead stops at the boot device led. So different outcomes different startups.
