Ok so I have a old pc and I took it part to find out that it has a Radeon 9550 in it! I also have a dell Inspiron 3847 desktop that i use for small gaming now. The dell has 8GB of ram, 1TB of hard drive, integrated graphics, and is Intel i5!!! Right now the games i play such as TF2 runs perfect 100FPS all game. But games like Planetside 2, BO1/2/3 and BF4 are running on Low to medium setting with a little lag like 30-40 fps. I wanted to know if I put in the Radeon 9550 will it just slow down my gaming or increase it a little bit? So please i could find anything this is my last resort for help! Tell me should i use the Radeon for now or use stock and play with the little lag!

The Radeon 9550 is an AGP video card and not compatible with any modern motherboard. The AGP slot became obsolete and was replaced by PCI-e. The card would be a hindrance anyways, just too old to be of use outside the system you found it in.

Use the integrated, save some money and get a modern GPU, there are some pretty decent offerings in the lower price ranges these days.
That card is way too old. It uses an old socket that's not compatible with any of today's motherboards(or even motherboards of 6 years ago). The card itself was launched over 13 years ago.

It'll definitely slow your PC down if you do find a way to install it(I doubt you will be able to).
Stick to integrated.

Alternatively, you could decide to buy a modern graphics card if you want to step up to play games such as BF4. Your PC seems to be a recent one, so it should be able to house any modern card. You'll have to check the power supply though.

With the graphics card being so much older then the i5, then an i5 might have more performance with graphics. if its an older i5, then the graphics card might help. Give the graphics card a try, and see if it helps. Look into getting like a gtx950 for around $140 for better performance, or even a $100 amd card would be better than intel integrated.

A 750Ti will improve your gaming quite a bit and even most weak power supplies are capable of running it as long as you buy one of the models that doesn't require a PCIe cable from the power supply. Most of them are able to draw all the power they need directly from the motherboard.

Any GPU more powerful than that would require a power supply upgrade in most pre-built PCs that weren't sold specifically for gaming. I would say the 750Ti is a great choice for you.

750ti would probably run well, what PSU do you have as even the 750ti has it's limits. Wouldn't want you to buy a GPU and have the PSU kill it.
