So I'm not sure if it's just me however I used Hyper X Fury RAM (8GB 2x 4GB) on a £30 Gigabyte motherboard and I got its fastest speed (around the 1800mhz mark), crazy.

I got a new motherboard Asus H97M - E and I can only get 1600Mhz even though I've got it in the correct dual channel config and all.

Would this Z97 Motherboard fully support the max speed of HyperX ram (1866Mhz) since I am going to change to an ATX motherboard.

I think the motherboard is one of the best Z97 motherboards in the 100 - 130 pound price range (correct me if I'm wrong)

Standard speed for DDR3 is 1600 MHz. Anything higher than that is considered overclocked. H97 boards don't support overclocking, so the RAM defaults back to 1600 MHz. Any Z97 board should be able to run that RAM at 1866 MHz. That being said, it's very unlikely you'll notice any benefit from the increased RAM speed.
