Monitor does not have display when plugged into GPU

Hi I was recently playing my game and suddenly my computer crashed with a loud buzzing noise. I tried restarting my pc and it turns on, fan was working, keyboard and mouse were lit but there wasn't anything with the display. During this time my display was plugged into my GPU. So I took out my gpu and plugged the display cord into my motherboard and now it works. I then tried to install my gpu and plugging in my display into the gpu again and it does not work.

It is set to PEG. I have tried disabling on board graphics but it doesn't work as well. Any other idea why it isn't working? Could it be that the gpu has spoiled?

What do you mean? If you meant running it with my monitor plugged into the mobo using integrated graphics to see if my computer works then yes i have done that and it works. But I want to run on my gpu otherwise i cannot game with the machine
