Here is my actual configuration:

wnclz3o.jpg0

(sorry for some polish word inside, i could not copy this)

The only change that i made was overclocking CPU to 4 Ghz (stock coller).

I decided to change my GPU to Gigabyte GeForce GTX960 4096MB 128bit WindForce 2X OC [GV-N960WF2OC-4GD], but i read in many places that mu CPU will bottleneck hard.

Now im thinking of buying new processor, maybe FX-6300 and overclocking it a little bit (4Ghz, or more with new, better cooler), or even buying new mo with Intel processor (dont know if it will fit to my present case).
Computer will be used mostly for games, i dont rendering any videos, working in graphic programs etc. Part of games will be played via Steam link, so good streaming possibilities are needed.

I would like to find best price/value option for that.

Please advice what will be the best option for me. Thank you all in advance!

To be honest, i would like to spend as little as possible, but on the other hand, i'm not a big fan of half-measures...

My first idea was to change gpu only, but aftrer some research i found out, that this is not best idea. Generally, every part that i have to upgrade i must count as additional cost to that i was assumed on start.

I live in Poland, so i cant exacly calculate how much i can spent in dollars - let say it this way: max additional cost that i can allocate on upgrade will be another gtx 960. So my budget is 2x cost of GTX 960 WindForce 4GB ;-)

Thank you CTurbo.

In terms of gaming you will not see a big difference going from FX 4100 to FX 6300. The improvement will come through that GTX 960. If you do choose to get the FX 6300 and want to overclock it without trouble, you will need a better motherboard.

I'd upgrade to an fx 6350 or an fx 8350,look at a comparison between the fx 4350 and the 6350 http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/305/AMD_FX-Series_FX-4350_vs_AMD_FX-Series_FX-6350.html

Recommending a 125w cpu for that motherboard is bad advice. That motherboard can't handle that much heat even though it's officially compatible.

Contrary to what others have said, you will likely see improvements in games with a CPU upgrade. Even if you have the fastest GPU in the world, your CPU still has to feed it, and there are plenty of games out there that will see low minimum and average framerates from an FX-4100 regardless of what GPU is paired with it. FX-8320e may be the best CPU upgrade in terms of value (95w 8-core), though an FX-6300 would also be a reasonable choice.

Certainly you will see gains by dropping in a faster GPU, but you'll also see gains from a CPU upgrade.

^ Note that going from an FX-4100 to an FX-6300 causes a 66% increase in framerate, and to an FX-8350, a doubling of framerates with the same video card.

i read the motherboard tier 970 chipset section, and it says overclocking an fx 6300 will be fine in this mobo, soo i think the 6350 will be fine.

Not all motherboards with 970 chipset are the same. With the 970 chipset you have just 2 very good motherboards that will run and even OC a 125W AMD CPU. The MSI 970gaming and the Gigabyte 970A-UD3P.

cheapest build can run csgo /league with ease witht he onboard grpahics otherwise u can add a 750 ti/gtx 950

Solution

OP already has a case, power supply, and a fair set of DDR3. I'd say that in terms of other system upgrades (other than GPU), a drop-in FX CPU upgrade offers the most value, followed by replacing the motherboard/CPU with something like a Haswell i3 (so OP can reuse RAM), followed by motherboard/CPU/RAM (e.g. Skylake Pentium as you suggested).

some skylake mobos can also use ddr3

You will probably see more fps gains from a new gpu than from a whole new system, especially if money is your primary concern, and it seems to be. Id go for a gtx 970 and as long as you are gaming at 1080p that should hold you for awhile and will be a very signifigant upgrade. Most of the games I play are more gpu reliant and that seems to be the current trend. If you have the money though id stay away from the aging fx line and go for a newer i5. Dont get me wrong, I love my 8350, but I5 will be better in the long run in my humble opinion.

Berain gives good advice and so does madmatt. I would second it... the GTX 970 will be the best move in terms of performance now... in a while when the OP saves up he can find an FX-6300 for not that much cash... but the extra expenses in the GPU now will hold it's value into his future build decisions.

And best part... even bottlenecked it will be better performing then a bottlenecked GTX 960. I love my FX 8320 But I have to agree the way to the future is not going to be AM3+ regardless... so the GTX 970 now and when it can be afforded a newer series i5 intel.
If budgeted well you can maybe find a GTX 970 and still have enough if it's done smartly could still be within the cost of two GTX 960's even with the FX-6300. }=)
I understand it may be harder in poland but anything is possible as they say.
