New CPU gives RAM errors and bluescreens, RAM on channel 1 is also unusually hot

I have been using this ram with my AM2 CPU since I got the setup, so I feel confident in saying it hasn't gone bad. I have an M3N78-EM motherboard, which is an AM2+/AM3 board, and so I got myself an AM3 Phenom II x4. When I slapped it in, it seemed to work and all, but I got to the first OS boot and it just froze. A few changes later, I try again and it tkes two tries before I get into the OS, and when I finally did, it behaved very oddly. Over the time of trying to figure out what was wrong, I got several Page_Fault_In_Unpaged_Sector bluescreens as well as Memory_Management bluescreens.I decided to turn it off and feel the RAM, and the channel 1 memory, a pair of Crucial Ballistix Sport 2GB sticks, they were almost to the point they burned my finger. I then checked the other two, a pair of Corsair Value, and the Corsair Value ram was not hot to the touch. Can I get some odeas on what to do?

Power down, unplug the power cord, remove the CMOS battery and set the mobo jumper to reset position. Wait at least five minutes and repeat that process in reverse order. Boot the machine, enter the BIOS, and set BIOS to defaults and try again. The BIOS should read the new configuration and set itself properly for the installed components.

Well, your method didn't work. I fixed the issue, though.
Turns out that both of my Crucial Ballistix sticks died on me some time ago...
and the AM2 processor wasn't able to push the ram well enough
so
it never appeared as a problem.
But in other news,
I've gone from 15 FPS in Watch_Dogs to 51. I did a good job, no?
