i have a Q about docking stations

i was searching on amazon and youtube. and noticed the one i wanted had a gray button that sayd "ghost". and also a details in a page on amazon sayd something about a "cdclone" somethign or other. so is a docking station an illegal design of somebody's? if nothings illegal about it then please tell me how i can have one and which one that might be.

The "CLONing" thing refers to the dock's ability to DUPLICATE A DRIVE. But I don't know if they do this stand-alone, without the assistance of an attached PC/laptop.

Some have a BACKUP button, it's suppose to be a ONE-PUSH backup solution, but I'd wager this involves loading some App on the PC, configuring it, so it does what is suppose to do once the BACKUP button is pushed. I dunno, seems like a gimmick to me.
