It started with my computer not turning on at all except for the two fans that were hooked up to fan control. The other two fans didn't turn on and they weren't hooked up to the fan control. I checked all the cords. Everything seem plugged in except a couple of extra cords from my power supply.(Pretty sure they were extra because I remember not plugging them in) I checked my CPU fan and ram and they all seemed ok. After that I saw just a small pile of hairs no more than 5-10 hairs. I took them out and hit the power button and everything worked fine so I turned it off and put the side of the case back on. I took it off of its side and then I thought I heard a fairly quite thud and I went to turn it on and nothing happened. So I took it back apart and I saw nothing wrong. I re-checked all the cords and it looked like nothing fell and it was back to the same problem. A couple of hours later I went back to it after a friend telling me to check all the cords again now nothing is happening when I press the power button. Sometimes when I plug the power supply cord back in and hit the switch in the back after messing with the cords it flashes on for just a faction of a second then nothing. That's only sometimes. I'm getting kind of frustrated because I can't find quite the same problem online. Help! :??:

IF you have already checked EVERYTHING here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

Then I would suspect very highly that you have a dead power supply and I wouldn't be surprised in the least since the CX series Corsair units are well known for dying when paired with discreet graphics cards. You might want to make sure your CPU cooler is working though, by testing it on another system or plugging another 4 pin fan into the CPU fan socket. Many systems will not boot if the system doesn't see an RPM signal from the CPU fan.

If all else fails, bench test it like this:

I would also not be surprised if you end up...

I would also not be surprised if you end up finding it's a dead motherboard, since the PC mate boards are pretty much the bottom of the barrel when it comes to aftermarket motherboards.

I would go for the PSU failing ,as i had something similar in the past and it was the PSU , i had a strange thing happen when the 5v rail failed on another PSU the case fans and power led were strobing and shimmering.
