So I finished my build the other day and I remember seeing somewhere that it's a good idea to update your bios, so I went to Msi and was looking for an update for my motherboard and I saw that my motherboard came with something called Live Update that would update the bios (after I did some research and found that you should use a flash drive which I didn't). So I went ahead with that and it said the download was successful and it would restart. Well it won't get to the boot menu anymore (I had to choose what to boot from) it stops a screen or 2 before that would pop up. I tried taking out my main hard drive and it goes to some winki menu and it says it needs the first hard drive to boot but when I plug in the main one it doesn't recognize it. Is this a motherboard issue or is it possibly a hard drive issue?

Specs
Msi 760gma-p34 fx
And fx 6300
Evga Geforce gtx 960
Wd blue hard drive

Not sure exactly what you need for specs

Solution
Never, ever try to update the BIOS by downloading and installation through the server, because you don't know what happened during the download. You should download the BIOS fold into the USB first, then update the BIOS.

If you can boot into the BIOS, then reset the boot order in the BIOS. Then you may try recovery the BIOS, how to https://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/support/TechFAQdetail.aspx?formid=3046 If you can't boot into the BIOS, you will need the new BIOS chip for your MB, or get the new MB.
