Can't afford a newer computer. Would like to get a little more gaming capability, but I know this is very limited stuff. Here's what speccy says I have.

. AMD Sempron LE-1300
. 2.00GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 400MHz
. PEGATRON NARRA5 (Socket AM2 )
. 512MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 (PNY)

Any suggestions??

IF you want to do a little upgrade, you can go for FX series, but you will need upgrade your motherboard.

Until this said, still don't work the upgrade that i mentioned. Same some money and go for a complete new build. Sorry.

Budget?

The only things that comes to mind are upgrade graphics to a GTX750Ti and upgrade the ram to 4GB*. I suggest that card since you shouldn't need to replace your current PSU to run it and it should provide additional performance to your system. I would think it should be a relevant card for a while so when you decide to replace your PC you may be able to use in the new PC also

*Best to use a memory finder tool available from most all memory brands to find compatible memory

go for the highest cheapest GHz you can get

your mother board supports 800mhz dual channel memory:
2 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM slots Supports Dual Channel DDR2 800/677 MHz non-ECC, un-buffered memory (Max 4GB)

pick up two 2GB 800 mhz BRAND NEW memory modules http://www.ebay.com/sch/Memory-RAM-/170083/i.html?Bus%2520Speed=PC2%252D6400%2520%2528DDR2%252D800%2529&Capacity%2520per%2520Module=2GB&Form%2520Factor=DIMM&_dcat=170083&rt=nc&LH_ItemCondition=1000&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

the graphics card might still be okay but you didn't specify what OS and games/programs you are using it for. most important is the power supply and amps on the 12V+ rail and if there is a power plug for the graphics cards. if no dedicated pci e power plug then:
EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Video Card

as this card would also carry over into your new system when you do fully upgrade

but the better cpu and ram should fully max out your current system and work your gt 240 much more efficiently and to it's fullest potential for dirt cheap.

just watch the shipping charges on the sellers. free shipping has it's + & - in packaging 5 dollars is more than reasonable S&H for good packaging. the shipped from china stuff tends to come in bubble wrap bags which you should avoid due to the mail sorting machines being rough on such delicate components.
