i5 4690k + Asus Z87 PRO no bios on startup, red CPU led

Just set up my PC today, however when I tested it on a monitor no BIOS showed up, and I had a red CPU led on with a q code 00. Everything has power, like the GPU has an led lit, all the fans work and everything, and I'm able to turn it on and off using the power button on the case. I checked the socket pins to see if any were bent and I noticed a few in one of the corners looked darker/damaged but they didn't seem to be bent at all. I can link a photo if needed

I downloaded the latest bios and put it on a blank usb stick and renamed the file to Z87P.CAP like it says in the user manual

But when I tried holding the bios flashback button on the mobo, no led lit up :/

I'm not sure if that means the bios isn't the problem, or if there's some other reason why I cant update it

Any ideas?
