I spilled some water in my PC, immediately turned it off and dried everything I could see on the surface. Like the idiot I am, I plugged it back in and turned it on. It stayed on for 30 seconds then turned off, and now it won't turn on and the fans won't run. This happened about 30 hours ago, the power supply and mother board are on a towel drying right now, with a fan blowing them and the inside of the PC. Is there anything else I can do or is it broken?

liquids are electronics worst nightmare, especially if they were powered on when the spill occurred... i would leave it unplugged for at least a day or two before trying to start it up again and just cross your fingers and hope for the best. i hope nothing is wrong, accidents suck sometimes... i dropped my old phone in water once and it didn't work for 2 days then it just started working again and was fine ever since so sometimes you might get lucky and it just needed to dry out completely.

Update here, I did the green wire test and the psu works. So I reassembled the PC and tried to start, immediately I heard a click. Seems to be from the mother board. ASUS saber tooth x79, if that helps

Dad here...
We've removed the GPU, RAM, all wire connections, PSU, MB, and both of its shrouds, and let it dry over 5-6 days. Rotated the parts once a day to release any trapped water. Just finished cleaning and applying thermal paste, as well as re-assembly. Same result, a quick "click" from the PSU as it is powered on which I assume is a breaker tripping in there to protect everything it's powering. Is there something else we could try or is this bricked? And does this sound to y'all that this is definitely the MB or possibly the graphics card. With the sabertooth x79 there is no on board VGA to let me test the graphics card so I'm not sure if i can cancel that out as a suspect. Not sure if I would hear the POST with it either disconnected or malfunctioning. Thanks in advance!

If you're sure it's dry, just try booting it without the GPU in, if it doesn't switch off and click, the GPU is probably damaged. If it still does it, it could be the motherboard/cpu/ram or all of the components.
