hey everyone- I recently tried to do a bios update for my asus x-99a , after the flash it doesn't boot and instead goes into an infinite loop or powering on for a split second and powering back off... like its trying to turn on but it cant or something. I've tried multiple bios flashbacks using the usb stick and the button in the back.. My question is.. are there 2 bios chips on this motherboard (if so where? I only see one) and also what can I do besides replacing the chip.
update1: Ok so I tried reseating the ram, Cmos etc - I also tried pressing the MemOk button and reflashing- same thing. Also, I should note that I have a few more of these exact builds and the reason I initially wanted to do the bios update was because the motherboard in question had some issues with USB ports (mouse dc during a game etc). I thought it might be something with the specific motherboard so I tried doing the flash on ANOTHER x-99a same build previously working computer. Same result... computer tries to turn on..turns off.. loops
I am now convinced that whatever I did with the bios flashback has caused this but I am confused because I've done this process on all of my other motherboards without any problems.
Also, I have ordered a few x99a bios chips and the tool to safely remove them .. anyone have any other ideas or maybe someone in the MA area can come take a look? I really want to know whats going on this is starting to bother me lol
