Hello , a friend of mine bought an E7500 cpu ,his motherboard it's an ASUS P5LD2-VM ,with the old cpu(intel core2 6300) the pc worked fine ,after he installed the new cpu e7500 it show an error everytime the pc start - Intel CPU uCode loading error/ CPU Overvoltage Error! - also the cpu run at lower frequency and it's not working properly ,it think it's worse than the old cpu .I looked into the motherboard manual and i found that E6700 it's the highest CPU that motherboard support .Any recommendations how to fix this ? Maybe update of the bios motherboard can fix this? Can you give me please intructions how can i do that because i never tried to update a bios ? Thank you.

Solution
I don't think that board can support anything from the E7xxx generation. I can't find any BIOS that was compatible with anything newer than the E6700 or X6800.
The E7500 is from a newer generation than the E6300 (two and a half years newer), so a BIOS update would probably be needed. They have the same TDP, so the board shouldn't have good enough power delivery for the E7500.

Problem is that we don't know if there is a BIOS for your friend's board that supports the E7500. Can you tell us the motherboard's model number? We'll need that information to find out if this can work and if so, how to make it work.
