No sounds with MSI ATI Radeon HD 6450

I am having a no audio problem with my MSI ATI Radeon HD6450 and unfortunately when I go to playback devices there is only the HDMI for devices and even though I have a monitor with speakers hooked up through hdmi to dvi it shows I have no devices plugged in.

DVI doesn't normally carry audio. You will need to make sure your cable and monitor support DVI audio for it to work like this. otherwise you will need to enable or install the soundcard and connect it to the monitor with the 3.5mm audio cable.

It is a Tendak Full HD HDMI to VGA Video Converter Cable Plug and Play Adapter with 3.5mm Audio Output

Is the builtin soundcard on your motherbd disabled in the Bios? or perhaps drivers are not installed...

You should be able to just hook up a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable from the pc's onboard audio to the monitor
