Hello guys.I currently have an old fx-4130 with a msi 970a-g43 mobo and i'm thinking about upgrade.i'm just doing some programming and adobe photoshop, mainly gaming(the likes of gta v,arma 3,anything).so the question is:should i upgrade the cpu with another fx?(thinking about 8350 or 9370)or upgrade with intel(it would take me a year to save for an i5/i7+new mobo, either skylake or haswell refresh)or wait for the new zen architecture until the end of this year?i just got a 380x and a new laptop,so my budget is around 200$,can get it to 250$ if necessary.for what i am doing, will an i5 make a big difference over the 8350?for example the 4690k is better in single-core performance and a better performer in games overall, but is it worth the extra $?

Solution
That would be a good decision. As of now, Zen's performance is pure speculation; you'll have to wait until benchmarks from a trusted source are released. Ultimately it depends on how long you're willing to wait for an upgrade.

So if i still have to upgrade my mobo,i should save up and either get an i5(skylake probably) or an amd zen cpu?

Alright,so i'll wait for Zen,hoping that AMD delivers that 40% increase and if not,i'lljust go skylake. Thanks for your help man
