Help with Compatibility required: AMD Radeon HD 7850 and an AMD R7

I was looking at doing a GPU upgrade, in order to crossfire my existing 7850 with another graphics card in order to have extra performance. I have looked on Amazon and seen some pretty decently priced AMD R7 cards. But when I searched for compatibility, nothing about the R7 and the 7850 was mentioned.
Does anyone know if the R7 cards and the 7850 card will be compatible?

You may run into performance issues and incompatibilities when you CF your 7850 with newer versions. However, you can probably make it work with either the R7 270 or 370 since they use the same Pitcairn chip.
