i have an evga gtx 980 ti hybrid and i want to plug in a Noctua industrial 3000Rpm fan as my rad fan...

but the female plug for the Rad fan is a 4 pin PWM but the hybrid fan connector is a 3 pin that is enclosed, im finding it extremely hard to find an adaptor for this, i can find an adaptor for the other way around easily but not this way, can anyone help me find an adaptor or some other kind of way to solve this issue easily?

if you're not sure what i mean by enclosed here is an example of what the GPU fan socket looks like (its the bit on the left)

even if you can find a splitter that adapts from 3 pin to 4 pin that would be even better since i'm thinking about having 2 rad fans in push and pull configs, for max air through the rad

Thanks

Solution
that looks like it'll go into the shroud and give you 2 unshrouded 3 pin connections which the 4 pin noctua will connect and cool the rad. seems logical.

if it were me. I would cut the shroud off the offending end (enclosed 3-pin) and free the pins for the plug. pair of pliers or wire cutters, three snips and plug it in. I would use a dab of hot glue after it is connected to keep the joint together. the three pins will plug directly into the 4 pin, you just have to remove the shroud.

if you cant find an adapter, be the Adapter.

unfortunately i've already tried doing this but i dont seem to be very good at it at all, so i guess i'll need to buy new cutters or something

but what do you think of this?
