I have a gtx 970 4gb, an i5 4690k, and 8 gigs of ram. I'm trying to run star citizen, and according to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzOJYiQUw8Y (he has pretty similar specs) i should be getting at least 60 fps on what looks to be high settings. Currently I can barely get 30-40 fps on lowest settings, what the heck is up with my computer? (Drivers are up to date btw)

Don't trust star citizen, that thing isn't really made to work properly.

If you think your system might not be running at 100%, try going to the 3dmark website and downloading their benchmarks. You can then compare it to regular reviews and see if the card is working.

but the vid, very similar specs but mine doesn't perform as well

I don't care about the "vid" and neither should you

Just because someone has a video of something doesn't mean it's real, truthful, and possible on your system. First figure out if your system is working properly, and only after that should you consider seeing if you can match someone else's performance.

This is exactly why I told him star citizen is not a valid test for his system. Maybe when a proper developer and publishing house buy it out (Better than WB as it stands after the AK mess though) it will have better stability, but right now it's not a valid benchmark.

Again... WHAT ARE YOUR 3DMARK SCORES?

Answer that and maybe we can see if the problem is with your card or you.
