This might be dumb to ask, but I was planning out my next build with entirely Thermaltake parts. Then i got to the GPU blocks. I am planning on using two r9 390s, however, when i checked, it seemed that thermaltake had no AMD card blocks. Can i use another brands block? or should i start over with a different brand for my entire loop?

As long as you're not mixing in really low-quality parts (with questionable metals/alloys in the components), you can mix......which is very common. Even still, be sure to use the correct fluids in the loop (nothing from the tap:))

I would question that choosing Thermaltake is using low quality parts. They've been known in the past to use aluminum in their radiators...something you should never use for watercooling.

To answer your question - yes, you can use whatever brand you want on your loop. If you have an EK block, Koolance radiators and Aquacomputer GPU blocks, they are all designed to use standard G1/4 fittings. Watercooling is designed to be a mix and match type of hobby and many people decide on different components from different brands.

I think he's talking about NVIDIA Waterblock on an AMD card
