Hey everyone so below is my build so far not including GPU which i plan to buy at a later date. I've been told that if i go for the GTX970 even if i overclock that and my CPU the 650W should be enough however if i go for the R9 390 would i need to up this to more like 750W ? (im not sure which GPU i want yet and the 750W is only like £10 more so if its necessary for the 390 ill probably just go for it in the name of future proofing ;) ). Thanks in advance :)

In the theory, 550W should me bore than enough for stantdar builds (non SLI/CF). I had one FX 4300 + r9 290 running in a 550W quality PSU, so I'd say yes, a 650w one should be able to run everything. Furthurmure, you have a very good PSU (tier1), so yes, you have no need to worry about it : )

650w, like others have said, will be more then enough for either the 970 or 390.

My 4690k running at 4.5ghz with an R9 290 at 1125Mhz +81mV is running off a Seasonic X-650w PSU and it barely peaks at 500w from the wall with both the CPU and GPU under 100% load.
