Hello everyone,

Recently I bought a custom built rig that someone else put together and sold to me used. It was a great value, with a water cooler and great gpu. However, the cpu was the fx-6300, and didn't allow me to play some newer games (ac syndicate, fallout 4, etc.) So, I just picked up an fx-9590 on ebay for $150. I already had the asrock extreme9 990x MB and a water cooler from the previous owner, which I read were the two big requirements for the 9590. I've also researched the physical replacement process, which seems straightforward enough. My question is whether or not there are any other steps I need to take to get it running once I physically install it. Do I need to update my BIOS or something? I know that's a risky move, so I don't want to do it unless necessary, but if I have to, I want to make sure I can research that sufficiently and avoid any problems. Any help I can get with this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Edit: Bumping it just to see if anyone knows about this. A simple yes, you do need to do stuff, or no you do not would be enough for me. Thank you again.
