is it worth upgrading from 4790k to 5820k with 980 Ti SLI and 1440p 144hz monitor?

is it worth upgrading from 4790k to 5820k with 980 Ti SLI and 1440p 144hz monitor ( DELL S2716DG). Also im streaming and using shadowplay while gaming.

Solution
The 5820K would have an advantage in the few games that can use many cores such as BF4, but the 4790K is already so fast that I doubt the difference could be noticeable.

If you're doing some modest multitasking, then the 5820K may be noticeably better, but even then I doubt it's worth worth spending around $700 on a new CPU, mobo, and RAM for that unless you specifically notice slow-downs with your current CPU. Basically, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Besides, the 5820K only really shines when overclocked for gaming since its stock frequency is a little low compared to the cheaper 4790K and similarly priced 6700K.

4790k is actually a really good CPU for gaming and rendering. IMHO the 4690k and 4790k are the sweet spot right now, even with Skylake in the mix. Devil's canyon is just better bang for the buck.

Well assuming most games are quad core optimized if not dual core. Coupled with the lower clock speed of the 5820k to the 4790k, you would see a loss of frame rate, so "technically" yes.

Reality it's a frame or 3 at best or most. You can live considering the fact that you have a 980 ti sli, you won't notice it. Not to mention you could make that back with a slight oc on the cards. So the question becomes, do you render or use vm's/ photoshop? If so sure it'd be an upgrade otherwise no it'd be a negligible drop in frame rate.

i made a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV0Rv8hrf0c
dont u think 4790k bottlenecking here my 980 ti sli?

It looks like your CPU is a slight bottleneck based on that video in Witcher 3. An i7-5820K would probably improve your performance a little, but are you willing to spend about $700 for a relatively small gaming performance improvement, especially since I never saw your FPS drop under 60FPS?
