My gigabyte g41mt-s2pt will not post with an R9 255 but will with my evga geforce gtx 750ti

i tried the cards in my main system because the one im working on is for my little bro. I got the amd card for fifty bucks from a friend. Both cards work fine in my main rig but not my core 2 duo machine. Thanks guys

maybe just a bios compatibility thing with that board or card ?/

so ? it may boot find as you say but cant initialize the card to display ? you know the card works in another computer and another card works fin in the issue computer ? booting fine with out display is not too booting fine to me

youre probably right about the bios issue. I was mainly wondering about all of this because hes getting a higher end gpu for his birthday along with a newer cpu so i didnt want it to be a waste of money. thanks so much!

that old 775 is getting kinda dated and has a few compatibility issues with newer hardware today?? like a lot of memory ic wount work with them anymore I feel keep it with what you got working and save fopr a better up to date build .. [ things today aint so plug and play anymore as the were ]
