I just bought an Avermedia Live Game Extreme Capture card for my pc to record games on it. It doesn't record the screen and i assume that is because it is meant for consoles. I am not sure, I have all of the connections so it isn't that.

Sound doesn't record, I have a 980 ti 5820k and windows 10. It records my home screen and nothing else, it doesn't show any open tabs or anything. . If the capture card doesn't work out I can return it, I was just wondering if it even worked on a pc and recording its screen.

I'm not really sure what else to try on the card. It will work for a console too. I use to record a xbox 360 playing gta5. But shadow play will have a lil green light in the bottom left corner unless you went in the settings and moved it. Does that pop up or that doesn't record either?
