I'm really stuck on wether to get a 980 for £270,it's 6 months old perfect condition or a new 980ti for £460,what should I go for?

Hello,
On which resolution you'd be playing games? GTX 980TI would be a waste for 1080p.
GTX 980 is at pretty good price, RMA is the only issue which can be taken care by the seller as you said, so i wouldn't think too much and go with the 980 only if playing at 1080p,do make sure it's perfectly fine though.

The 980 ti is much faster, id suggest the 980 ti. and at 460 thats a pretty good deal

Also its just generally better to buy new, since then you know where its been and you still can use the manufacturer's warranty

I'd still lean more towards the 980 ti since it carrier 6gb of vram which could definitly help down the road as AAA games become more intensive or incase you want to move to a higher resolution monitor
