My computer was working fine then one night I started to have an issue with my computer shutting down and saying it was a issue with power surges. I replaced the power source and kept everything the same but when I when I started it up I had a solid red DRAM light.

I have owned this game for 8 months so most of the solutions suggested don't apply. If you need more info on my computer just ask.

Asus z97-AR
Intel i5
8 Gb Balistix Sport
GeForce GTX 960

When you replaced the power supply I'm assuming you bought a similar wattage model? Made sure you connected everything? Not to sound rude, but sometimes the connection isn't fully inserted... if you are sure everything is connected appropriately I would try re-seating the ram, clearing the cmos...also if you bought a switching psu for use in europe and the us make sure the little switch on the rear of the psu is set to the appropriate voltage for your region 115v for usa 230v for europe.

I Used the exact same model power supply as was in there before. I will looked again at the the connections to make sure they are all perfect. I have tried all the possible patterns of putting my 2 ram sticks in the slots just to be sure and they are seated well. I just confirmed that there is no way to switch the voltage on my psu.

Would that cause the issue Im explaining? I ran my computer on the same psu for the last 8 months before this... Also I just checked had my roommate check and I feel dumb for not knowing that I have 960.

Well sure if the psu is no longer capable of giving you the power your pc is demanding... don't feel dumb...stuff happens. so you have the 960 not the 970? The 960 says 400w minimum...ok then... well..i retract my psu statement then...you tried reseating the ram, trying ONE stick at a time in the first slot? Can you enter the bios? does the pc shut off randomly now? do you have any video output at all? I have to get to sleep now early morning but I know someone else here can assist you further.. sorry I could not be of more help this evening..

I have tried the one stick at a time method as well. I have no video output at all so no i can't enter the bios. It does not shut off randomly anymore so I have a feeling that the issues are unrelated. You were lot of help, thank you so much for helping me straighten out everything so others might be able to help me better.
