When i stream on twitch i have to lower my settings and was wondering if i got a graphics card would it allow me to stream at a higher resolution since it wouldn't be using the integrated gpu and take a load off the cpu. Any tips would be appreciated

Solution
Well to answer your question, the dedicated graphics from the processor isn't capable of streaming at higher resolutions. A dedicated GPU is always recommended when streaming.

You stream on twitch without a GPU? What are the parts in your system?

Of course. If your internet can take it, the GTX960 won't have any trouble streaming at 1080p and maybe 1440p if you ever had the need for it. It's also going to remove a lot of the stress you were putting on your CPU.

Now, before you're ready to stream, can I ask you some information?

-What is your PSU (Yes the watts, but also the model, because I want to make sure it has all the connectors you need)
-What is your Motherboard?

I have 460w OEM psu and i opened up my pc and checked that it had the connectors which it did. Asus only requires a 400 watt psu btw here's my PC: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c04453446
