I need some help guys, so I overclocked my Fx 8320 I had it for a long time at 4.7ghz but decided to mess around with it some more and i got it to 4.9ghz at 1.44v. I ran prime 95 small FFT for an hour and a half.. no errors nothing. Its good enough for me Im not one of those dudes to run it for 24hrs.
Anyway, recently I also got ddr3 2400mhz ram and I know max rated the fx8320 supports 1833mhz. I have a crosshair V formula Z mobo.
So.. this is where it get interesting.
Blend test fails one core 0 errors 100 warnings. I tried different speeds on the ram 2400mhz, 2133, 1866, ect also put it on auto and it ran at 1333mhz. It still fails.. and its early on its the 8k test.
Also tried upping the cpu/nb voltage to see if that would help.. nope.
I had the timings on manual which were the 2400mhz specs but then put them on auto to see if that would help still nothing. I decided to test it with the ram running at 2133mhz since it fails on all frequencies.
I also upped the voltage on the vcore to see if that could possible help just to give the 4.9ghz some extra juice but blend test still fails.
I pretty much have all the ram settings on auto at this point and it still does not pass.
Nb frequency is auto and runs at 2200mhz and HT is auto as well and runs at 2200mhz.
I have 32gb 4x8 and the only thing i can think of is maybe to up the voltage on the dram stock is 1.65v maybe i can notch it up 2 bumps and see if that helps.
What do you guys think? What else can I do?
