Greetings,

Forum goers, builders, and enthusiasts alike; I have but one request. Will you help me make sure I didn't forget or overlook anything crucial? I'm 99% certain that I have a very modest build that will function well while proving to last a good long while and even accommodate upgrades in the future. My issue: 99% is not 100% so I'd rather not pull the trigger then have to send something back and prolong the wait because I overlooked something. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!

Your build is good and will run well .
Since gaming is your intended purpose I think you can have more performance for the same money though

2 x 4 gig of RAM is plenty for gaming right now
The MSI mb is good , but so is the Asrock Im about to suggest and it costs $20 less.
The water cooler is also nice but not necessary and not good value .

In this budget range I think the ideal build with the best bang for buck looks more like this

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($89.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($34.50 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty 970 Performance ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard...
would recommend a better quality power supply. tier 1 or tier 2 from the link below.

everything else is fine.

Personal opinions though:
1)overspending on 16gb of ram, 8gb is plenty for gaming systems.
2)the money you are spending on that expensive water cooler and extra ram could be put into a better processor or graphics card.

if you'd like me to tweak this for you, tell me your budget.

I do not know what your original cost was but I suspect you have a lot left in the budget to add
1/ an SSD
2/ an FX8320 processor
3/ a GTX 970 might even be possible
