Logitech G230 Not Necessarily Working

So I just got my Logitech G230 from bestbuy today and the first thing did was to see if it would work with my mobile device. I plugged the green audio cord in and only one ear worked. I went to my PC and plugged both the green and pink cord in the front of my PC. Suprisingly both ears worked. I took out the microphone cord and it went back to only one ear working. Is my headset defective or do i just need to adjust something in my settings?

So when you said you removed the microphone cord and it went back to one cup working, I assume that means it's still on the PC.

If that assumption is correct, it's likely their is a faulty ground. The cup the doesn't work with just the green connector connected to your PC is somehow getting it's ground when the microphone is plugged in.

My suggestion would be to exchange them.

Yeah, I dont know why only one cup would work when only the audio jack was plugged in. It's also weird because when i plug in the microphone jack to my phone I can hear through the right ear which is odd. Thanks for the help, I guess ill exchange them.
