hey guys, i just got my new computer today which was pre built but had no operating system so i set it all up by putting windows 7 onto it via a usb and it worked, after that no USB's would show up under the hard drive or my phone charger, portable hard drive etc but my keyboard and mouse work, i think i need to install motherboard software etc but i cannot without a disc drive which i do not have, and i also can't transfer it via a usb/harddrive because they do not function or show up on my new computer, i tried an ethernet cable for internet on my computer too that will also not work neither will the built in wireless chip because i need software for it and cannot get the software on any way, sorry if this is a bad explanation

you need the wireless drivers for you motherboard.
you'll need to burn the driver to a CD or DVD using another computer. then the cd can be put in the new system, the wireless driver loaded, and you can get online and download the rest of the drivers from the motherboard makers website.

i have the discs for my motherboard and gpu but i have no disc drive, i guess my only option is to buy one and get it fitted in or try a usb disc drive but i doubt the usb disc drive would work because usb's don't work

that limits options.
new computer? is there an old one?
if you had one, you could remove the drive from the new pc, install drive to another pc and download/copy the drivers to the drive. replace the drive, boot and load the drivers. all we need is some way to write the drivers to the drive.

That should do it. I am not a proponent of eliminating the Optical drive. They are inexpensive and there is no reason to not include one.
