My desktop has been shutting down randomly and restarting during my regular use inside the OS and during windows boot(when the windows logo appears) for a couple of months. So I tried to find the cause of the problem by formatting the system completely and loading a fresh windows 8.1 & UBUNTU on two partitions with installing the drivers one after the other and running it for a couple of hours to see if it shuts down. I finally found that whenever I opened chrome, vlc, click on start button, shutdown or restart button after inserting my WiFi adapter TP-Link TL-WN821N on windows it goes on a shutdown/restart loop. On the other hand in ubuntu I installed the driver which was available on github for the adapter and I have been able to use it without any problems atleast for now. Can anyone please confirm about the cause of the problem and help me out on solving this problem on windows ?
