Optical mouse not working on mousepads

OK so i have a optical wireless mouse and I have tried 1 light blue mousepad and 1 black mousepad and the mouse didn't move at all, i even tried a blank piece of printer paper and that didn't work either, but when i use my desk or a magazine it works ok but some times it starts spazzing out when i leave it alone and it feels a little weird while i'm using it... Why isn't it working right on certain surfaces? If you know please help.

(if you need to know the mouse is called "ShhhMouse Wireless Silent Mouse")

mine works the best just on the bare desktop - most pads were for old roller mice and some do ok some not in the end the bare desktop is the better

a lot has to to with the material used that reflects the optics light back ,, when I first looked in to this there was a lot more to it then thought

like me I tried a few things and pads and bare desktop works the best ?/

good luck

Well actually i got the mouse about a month ago and it was always like this, even when i replaced the battery so i think it isn't that. I might just get a better mouse cause maybe this one just sucks or something...

Agree with junkeymonkey.

I have two identical wireless optical mice and keyboard pairs.

One mouse works great just on the desktop. The other mouse (again identical) is happy on the blue/black mouse pad.

Either way, if the batteries get a bit run down, the performance will go up and down. Even if the battery tester indicates a "good" battery a new set of batteries fixes things.

But the mouse quality could be the real issue for you. Still try a couple of surfaces including the suggested bare desktop. Nothing to lose by experimenting a bit more.
