Hi ! i'm building a PC and on a VERY tight budget. I'll get an FX 6300 and R9 380, the question is... will the MOBO (Mentioned in the title) enough for gaming? I will definitely upgrade it but for now that is what I can afford. Thanks for your input!

I've alloted a big amount of my money for gpu as I think MOBO can be upgraded easily than the GPU. and about the GPU the specs (sapphire) says I only need a 500W PSU so i'm eyeing a 500W PSU with 80+ bronze certification with 2x6pin from a ertain manufacturer (this is what my budget allows me to have)

I'll be getting an Aerocool Strike X 500W PSU with 80+ Bronze certification and it has 2 6pins PCI connector which the r9 needs.

I had 2 PCs mounted with that mobo (one fx 8320 with US3P rev1 and onbe FX 6300 with US3P rev2). Both of them owrked brilliant and I even did some overclock to my old 8320, although this mobo is not shown as recomended to do it. I clocked my CPU to 4,1 (3,5 stock) and had 0 problems : )

I think it's a gran board for the price.

i can't go with a 650w psu for now. I don't have plans on overlocking my cpu neither the gpu,,

650w is complete overkill for an R9 380, however it does leave room for future upgrades.

Can't agree more with getting a quality PSU though, something from Seasonic or EVGA is a good choice.
If you don't see yourself upgrading the graphics cards any time soon a 500-550w PSU will be more then enough.

bro I think you don't get what I am saying . 650 wat for safety and future side . . 500wat is minimum requirement for 380 . so go for higher . Example- you can move your body whole day by eating just 1 bread and 1 glass milk . its minimum . but you eat 3 time its your constant energy and extra ... got it bro :)

i get what you are saying. i know AMD cards are power hungry and needs a high quality, high wattage PSU. BUT NOW, i can't go with a 650W PSU because of my budget and i can't save up more money and get my upgrade next month coz i have other things to spend on. and I can't spend too much for PSU, if R9 can't go well with a 500W PSU then i'll just settle with GTX 960 though a lot say 380 beats 960 at every scenario. I'll settle for a gaming with decent fps without hurting my pocket too much. i think a 5-7 fps difference is okay as long as it is still playable. (only intend to play on FHD)

I used many cards in the last year, including: Nvidia 760 and 960, and AMD's 280 and 290. All of them did run in a shitty PSU ("advertised to provice 700W but giving only 520 in the 12v rail") with no problem for some time, but eventually I swapped to a high quality one, "just in case". It was expensive, but I got 10 year warranty, gold performance and room to do any kind of upgrade in the future. If you're looking for a budget PSU, you can try the antec 550 VPF. There is no need to get a tier 1 if you can't affor it, but neither go to the cheapest you find because you may feel the need to change it in the future.

Here, this post is 2 yeards old but still comes in handy very often : )

EDIT:
I had the 290 running in a 550W PSU with no problem, but it was a good one (V-series CM, tier1).

thank you very much for your reccomendations. I'll check it right now. maybe i'll just settle with a gtx 960 than 380 and get a 500w good quality PSU.
