You won't be able to transfer the OS from another PC to your own. The operating system is tied to the motherboard, that means that even if you do transfer it to a different HDD, you still won't be able to boot into it from another computer. You'd need a genuine Windows installation, unless it was preinstalled on your computer.

As for the freezing and noises of your HDD, they might be indicating an internal/physical damage on your HDD. First, I'd start by reconnecting the connections to the drive and even try using a different SATA cable. If the noises are still there, then you should backup any important data from the drive somewhere else ASAP and perform some HDD troubleshooting using...

First, I'd start by reconnecting the connections to the drive and even try using a different SATA cable. If the noises are still there, then you should backup any important data from the drive somewhere else ASAP and perform some HDD troubleshooting using its brand-specific diagnostic tool. You should be able to find it on the HDD manufacturer's website. If the drive is physically corrupted, it's highly recommended to get in touch with their customer support as well and check up on the HDD's warranty. You might be able to RMA it, but you should definitely consider replacing it.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
