Good morning. I have a new rig via IBuyPower PC, and I have found that I have v1 bios, and I've had some minor issues concerning the system freezing. A Microsoft tech did what he could, but said I did need to update the BIOS. I have never done this before, and with the warnings from the manufacturer and in fora concerning flashing the BIOS, it's no wonder I am so scared of doing this. Plus, this PC is my ONLY entertainment-no tv, stereo is hooked to the PC, so this is it. I do have the old rig, in case this one goes out on me, but I'd really like to just have this one running well.

So, where can I find some detailed instructions that an ignorant like me can understand? Most of my problems with the PC have been because I don't understand the terminology in the instructions.

Thanks for any help.

Thank you so much for the link. I take it that it's the "Windows" version that I choose, and not the "Instant Flash"?

Thank you for that link. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an actual BIOS version update there; only the apps associated with the Mobo. It's still very helpful, so I've DLed the program.

I just wanted to say Thank you for responding so quickly. I believe in coming back to let others know when I've found a solution to something, but I've been laid up. Anyway, thanks again.
