How much can i overclock?

Good morning guys! I have a rig with:

intel pentium g3258 Oc to 4.0 ghz
r9 380x Asus strix 4gb
8gb ram
Windows 10
Fan cooling(Idk the brand sry)
And KCAS 700 watt 80+ bronze full wired psu

S lo i wanted to ask,Because gaming without OC is like life without money,How much(Msi afterburner) Can i overclock the gpu ? Can you tell me some safe Ocs And i will try extreme OC after than

Core Clock: 1100 MHz
Memory Clock: 1500/6000 MHz

I would first try a bit below this, and work your way up, testing stability each time using something like Unigine Valley benchmark.


If you can I would suggest overclocking your pentium higher also, 4.0ghz is a very low overclock for that chip. Are you using the stock cpu cooler?

It depends on temperature ..
when you overclock the temperature get hotter ..

so you should monitor the temperature of your components ..
see the list of temperature in msi afterburner and make it stable 70-80c ..
and see the maximum hz your cpu can overclock ..

90+: about to get throttled
80-90: hot
70-80: safe
<70: cool
 
What motherboard?

A good OC depends on clean voltage from a quality PSU and Motherboard, good cooling of GPU AND supporting parts like the GPU VRM for stable voltages, and the 'silicon lottery' which basically depends on the quality of the particular chip batch your GPU came from.

AMD cards don't OC much beyond stock, maybe 100-200MHz max.

Guys i dont play new games i play competirive games like csgo,Lol,Gw2 thats why i bought this card i do not have any bottleneck i judt want more fps :) Ty for tourbhelp and my psu is doing fine
