i format my computer and it keeps adding the os now i have 3 how do i remove the other 2

Solution
If you actually formatted the system there is no way it will have more than one operating system showing up.

Best way to fix this if you want to start with a clean system is to run the Windows setup, go to the disk options, delete the partition (make sure that you don't delete any partition with your user files as many people like to setup multiple partitions for things), create a new partition and then run the installation of Windows.

Just make sure you are looking to do what you said you are which is format the computer and install Windows again and that you don't accidentally format or delete a partition that has files you need on it.

1. Click on "my computer"
2. Now click on "local c:".....(or on whatever hard drive you have installed windows on that might not be assigned the letter "c".
3. Now check if you have folder called "windows.old" it should be below the "windows" folder.

If you have the the "windows.old" folder then you didnt really format the hard drive but just installed windows again. This will cause the windows folder to be renamed window.old so that this older windows install will not bootup yet it you can recover all your files, like documents, music, videos..etc, and then move it to the present windows installation and you are then free to delete it. However DO NOT delete anything until you are sure, if its not there obviously delete nothing.
