would you choose a laptop with i5 6300hq or i7 6700hq? (242€-186€ difference)

I never had a laptop, this is the 1st time buying it, i plan on doing it this month.
I already purchased 2 laptops, both returned because of not having the advertised hardware (so i'm waiting them to refund my money)
It's a laptop to use office, watching multimedia content and gaming (why not). Games like gta v and MOBAS. I feel bad about myself because i built a (relatively) high end PC and the only game i played is a moba.

Asus GL752VW-T4065D i7-6700HQ/16GB/1TB/GTX960M/17.3"
price: 999 €
OS: 100 €
500gb SSD : 150€
Total: 1249

Asus GL552VW-DM149 i5-6300HQ/4GB/1TB/GTX960M/15.6"
Price: 729 €
OS: 100€
500gb SSD : 150€
1st option: Kingston HyperX Impact DDR4 2133MHz PC4-17000 4GB CL13 28€
2nd Option Kingston HyperX Impact DDR4 2133MHz PC4-17000 16GB 2x8 CL13 84€
Total(op1): 1007€
Total(op2): 1063€ (wasted the 4gb ram included in the laptop)

My thoughts so far are:

15.6'' gives more portability at the cost of less screen to game
I had those 2 (the laptops that i returned) 17.3'' and my intuition tells me to go for a smaller laptop
I saw benchmarks, reviews and a tone of youtube videos and reviews, the gtx 960m will do fine.

So my biggest concern is going for the i5 instead of the i7 and 8GB instead of 16GB.
But (later) with the cheaper option i can use the 1TB HDD, that comes with the laptop, to swap the DVD drive with the 1TB HDD using an ssd/hdd adaptor

Also an extra question, i saw that there are 2 different sizes for the adaptors: 12.7mm (1.24cm) (0,48 inches) and the other one 9.5mm (0.95cm/0,37 inches). I visited asus website about the laptops that it says nothing about it. The measurements are 384.5 x 256.9 x 32.75 ~34.75 mm (WxDxH) So i guess it's the 12.7mm the one that fits here, right?

*I am not sure if this is the right category, i s mod considers there's a better one, feel free to move it
