AS Rock LGA1155 ATX Motherboard Z77 EXTREME4

I think its the one you own tradesman1

For some reason, many of the places that I looked for motherboards seemed to be sold out of the decent ones.

There are just many reviews saying that the mobo stops working before 1 years, and that there are connectivity problems. Idk if i should look for a diff one.

for some reason??? you do realize this is old tech, a few generations back, and Z77 would get snatched up quickly. so, no surprise at all that nearly all are gone. if you can find some, you'll pay "new" prices anyways 95% of the time

Well can you recommend a new tech then?

no, because nobody really makes them anymore. all you can find is what is still in inventory that nobody bought yet. your i7 and the board to match are 2+ generations old.

new tech? new processor, new board. or at least newER.

what's wrong with your current board anyways???

Computer keeps shutting down, i tested all my components on a test mobo and it doesnt shut down anymore.
So I will be changing mobo, and while im at it i will change the cpu cooler too since the manufact one is just way too loud.

try reflashing the BIOS a few times first. it's free, and it might help. you can also download and run a special Intel CPU test program (a few steps to make a live bootable CD), which can test more stuff along the way.

last resort would be a new board, since that costs money and involves taking a lot of stuff apart. since you're not running a K processor, you can probably be ok with an H77 board instead of a Z77 board. might just have more availability.
