Reinstall windows, that's the best way to do it. Seriously, the best and easiest way, also just cleaning it up works wonders.

If it's a samsung disk they have a migration tool, it might work with other manufacturers too though.

Otherwise there are tutorials like this: http://lifehacker.com/5837543/how-to-migrate-to-a-solid-state-drive-without-reinstalling-windows

but you have to trim down the current os-disk to 64Gb if you clone (a lot less than the 64 actually, I'd not go above filling the disk with more than 50GB, so consider getting a larger disk if possible (windows has sleep-files and swapfiles etc that take up 2 x your amount of memory). 256GB is IMO a perfect size for just an os-disk, it'll drive you mad having to always WindirStat everything if you have only 64)

Once Windows 10 is activated (from your HDD in this case), it's registered with your motherboard. You don't have to clone etc, you can simply attach the SSD, install Windows 10 (ensure you're installing the correct version/architecture), skip the requests for a license key and once you're online it'll activate.

As above, 120GB minimum. 250GB is better.

To have 'only' the OS on the SSD, you need to do a clean install. There are no applications I am aware that will move 'only' the OS.

However, having 'only' the OS is tossing away a lot of its potential. You really want the OS and most/all applications.
AV, temp monitors, other utilities, etc, etc, etc.

It depends.
How large is the new SSD?
How much total used space is on the current C partition?
How much of that total used space is music/video/cat pictures?

Let's assume a 250GB SSD. You have to get the total used space to below 200GB.
Move stuff like doc/music/video/downloads
Uninstall some things.

Only when it is actually below 200GB can you do this.
Or, a clean install on the new SSD (recommended).
