Hello.

Im wondering why my CPU is running so hot under stress test when it seems that my temps are higher than ppl say is ok when reading forums.

With stock cooler temps went right away to 100c when under 100% load
Then i changed my cooler to big air cooler and temps still were around 97c-100c under full load
and now i have Corsair 110i gt water cooler and temps are at 90c when at full load.
whit the watercooler i just used the pre placed paste that comes between cpu and the heatsink (dunno what u call it in English) so it wont be because i would have placed the paste wrong.
And room temp is around 18-20c
I mean are these temps normal or is something wrong? just to be clear i havent overclocked this cpu and i have actually never touched the setting on this particular CPU. Its running at the same settings as its intended.
Heres my pc spec:

I7-4790K, Maximus VII Ranger motherboard, 32gb 1600mhz ram. msi980ti

Oh might be because of that, didnt really look into stress programs just downloaded IBT (intelburntest).
Atm running that Prime95 and temps are around 60c on full load. well actually temps still go up to 90c so no difference between IBT and Prime95
Btw what are the difference in these programs, shouldnt both just basicly stretch ur components to the limit? Dont know much about them, but didnt expect that there is so big difference.

DO NOT USE prime on Haswell CPUs for a stress test. It can damage the CPU. Hopefully you didn't run that test very long.

I recommend AIDA64 for CPU stress test. You should be fine there with your nice water cooler.
