^that is a link to my build^
I have the modem/router connected directly to my computers LAN slot 10/100 cat 5 cable.

im assuming my motherboard came with a really good networking capability.

when I try to connect it gives me an error that it is not finding the necessary hardware. im pretty sure I can see the correct hardware right in my motherboard through the case, right where it plugs in to the cat5 cable.
is this an easy fix or do I need a component?
maybe I didn't hook something up right when I built the computer?? it is my first build, the wireless network adapter I had is on the fritz(after a year...smh), it doesn't let my system wake or shutdown properly. so I bought a 100ft long cable and hardwired right into the modem. now im stuck. pls help...

Install the LAN driver for your motherboard.
