Hello everyone I recently bought three acer 23' monitors because I trade currency online. A three monitor setup is great for trading but I have also always been a console gamer. Im looking to just dab a little bit into pc gaming since I will have a triple monitor setup and I have ZERO knowledge in building my own PC. Therefore I would much much much rather buy a prebuilt pc, but i have no idea what i need to run triple monitors. Gaming wise I am looking for something that will produce decent graphics med/high and at a good FPS. Heres the catch, not looking to spend much over $1000 if any over that. Please let me know what you guys think I should do. Thanks

P.S. Drop the best prebuilt websites out there as well and let me know where I should order from. Looking to order this thing before the end of next week.

Solution
1. No you're pretty much right on it being the best, hence why I chose it for the build I listed.

2. Easy, the r9 390x has 4 display output options, 1 Displayport, 1 HDMI, and 2 DVI. Your monitors support both Hdmi and DVI (and also VGA but we're not using that). Connect the middle/main monitor with an HDMI cable, and then connect the other two with DVI cables. Windows will see you have 3 monitors, and then stretch the desktop across all 3. But to do an Eyefinity connection (having all 3 combined) you'll also need to connect one of your DVI monitors to the card's Displayport connection. To do this you just need a simple adapter for it...
Do you want the game image spread across all 3, like a 5760x1080 resolution? or just run the games on the middle monitor?

You might have some difficulty doing 5760x1080 for 1k, as that's actually pretty close to a 4k resolution, and you can't run 4k games on a 1k system.

If you just want to play games on the middle monitor, it's easy, as running multiple extra monitors that aren't displaying 3d graphics isn't demanding at all.

prebuilts will charge you about 150-250 to "build" you a computer, so you're actually getting even less of a system than you think. For a $750-850 system, single monitor gaming is still totally doable.

Also specifically which acer monitors did you get, because depending on their inputs it may be a bit of an extra hassle to get them all hooked up to the same GPU.

My acer model number is H236HL BID. I was planning on spreading them out over three screens. My first main objective is to find a graphics card that will support all three monitors while just doing normal workstation stuff. Gaming is my next option.

I have a computer shop here in my town that could build it for me if i ordered all the parts but I dont want to wait forever for it to get in also. That is another option. I mean more than likely I could put it together just dont feel like it haha.

You can run 3 monitors off a motherboard and integrated graphics, it's really not hard for 2d images.

3D images spread across all 3 monitors is a different story, I'm not entirely sure if a $750-850 system could do that. Most people just watch youtube or have skype on the other two monitors.

Here's a fairly good system for just over 1k that can do triple monitors, and has the best chance at that pricepoint for running 1920x1080 x3 resolution:

Find out how much they charge to build it for you, it may be worth it since you get price gouged like the others do.

And something like Amazon Prime can get the parts to you in 2 days.

I will check tomorrow. Will my monitors hook up to this card no problem? I purchased a dell inspiron I think it was called from best buy but returned it because I had no idea how to hook up 3 monitors. If they charge a substantial amount to put it together what do you think of this pc.

It looks like after some research that the best graphics card for my budget is the R9 390x. Seems like it will run all 3 monitors on decent fps and graphics. Tell me if im wrong.

Also how would I hook the monitors to the one graphics card if my monitors? Sorry simple question but still confused.

To do this you just need a simple adapter for it: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815129011&cm_re=active_displayport_adapter-_-15-129-011-_-Product

You'll probably have to go into the display settings to get them ordered properly, but all you have to do is right click on the desktop, choose Display Settings, and then you'll see 3 boxes with numbers in them going from 1, 2, 3. press the Identify button and those numbers will be displayed on screen so you can see which monitor is which number. Than drag and drop to arrange them to match their physical configuration and hit enter.

To combine them all into one resolution: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/gpu50-amd-eyefinity-display-groups.aspx

3. The prebuilt computer you linked is quite a bit weaker then the one i linked.
