HELP! Monitor won't turn on mobo issue?

Solution
Cmos will just reset bios to defaults, could try that.

If your hdd is corrupted then it's had a major head crash inside the hdd when pc was moved. If booting up on Windows 8.1 dvd wont get you any further with the hdd then i'd probably toss it and get a new one.

Power point is on? Sorry I'm very bad with computers like my supply fan is plugged in 24bit and the 8bit and fan kicks on...as far as what I got in it its a i5 4690k, asus z97-pro series motherboard. 2x8gb rip jaws, gtx750 graphic I believe, 1tb hhd, and power supply is 500 watt...it all comes on well and then just won't let me get to the BIOS screen. Just so weird literally moved it 2 feet :/ fans for the processor kick on and so do the gfx card fans I disconnected other fans to test this after making sure all power was off. A light comes up and stays on not sure if it is suppose to but it's the boot device led. Any help is greatly appreciated! I'll be back on in the early am to check this post thanks everyone!

I meant if the PC wasn't getting power then check the wall plug switch :) nevermind that now.

Check your video cable is connected to the graphics card and not the motherboard as integrated graphics can be disabled whilst detecting a gfx (gpu) card.

If its not as simple as using the wrong video out then re-check all connections inside the computer as moving it could have dislodged something. Could be the gpu hasn't been locked in properly previously and isn't making proper pcie slot contact. Check your memory sticks as well and Sata & power connectors.

Ok I have gotten the screen to come back up and able to load the bios now the next question is how do I get to my windows 8.1 that was previously installed? Do I have to delete Windows and re-install? If so how can I do this from the bios screen? Thanks again community :)

Was this a prebuilt machine?

Doesn't it boot to Windows 8.1? I'm confused, what happens if you leave it boot past bios?

If Win8.1 was installed on the hdd it should just boot to Windows 8.1, not sure why you need to get into the bios.

Built it myself wondering if the drive got fried possibly as I keep getting this error upon trying to repair the Windows program "unable to reset your pc. A required drive Partition is missing." Should I reset the cmos by taking the battery out or would that risk further damage? Fails to load anything other than the bios at this time thanks for helping me! :)
