Hey hoping someone could help me:

My computer runs fine when it only has 2gb of ram but when i try to upgrade to DDR3 8gb 1066mhz (that's what the motherboard is compatible with) all i hear is a continuous beep and no display on my screen. I've checked the specs of the mobo and it's compatible to the ram... so i have no idea what is wrong hence why I'm posting. thanks...
Specs-
Motherboard: FSB 1333 q45 chipset
ram: 2gb 1066mhz
cpu: q9505 quad core 2.83ghz
Gpu: EVGA Geforce GTX 750ti

Solution
First of all, depending on the motherboard brand, and model number.
You should go to the support website for it.

You should check what the maximum amount of memory the board supports.
And also the maximum density of a single ram stick each memory slot of the motherboard can take.

A long solid single beep from the bios can indicate that the 8Gb memory module is.

1. Not seated right in the memory slot of the motherboard, fitted the wrong way, sitting on the key notch of the memory slot.
2. Is the wrong type of memory.
3. the motherboard memory slots do not support single sided populated ram memory modules
4. The voltage is incorrect.

5. That there is a conflict between the 2gb memory stick and the 8 Gb if trying to run both at the...

6. No memory detected, placed in the wrong memory slot of the board otherwise stated in the manual for memory population order configuration and detection. Try each memory slot with the 8gb stick placed in it in order and power the system up.

Yeah it seems to be the memory combinations, I looked it up and my mobo can only handle up to 2gb per slot to a maximum of 8gb overall.
